Repair Process

Our repair process is somewhat similar to what you will find when dealing with most other repair service facilities. With over 35 years experience in the ever evolving camera repair industry, we have perfected our estimate and repair process to make sure we provide our customers with excellent customer service and competitive pricing. We aim to provide a seamless and pleasant experience so that our customers understand what is going on each step of the way.

There is no fee for an estimate for digital and film camera equipment including cameras, lenses, external flashes, and point and shoot models. For video equipment, you may be subject to a non-refundable estimate fee of $25-$35 based on the model of the video camera. The estimate fee is due at the time of intake however it will apply to the total repair charge.

Generally, once the equipment is received in our repair facility, it is inputted into our database and inspected by our factory trained technician that specializes in your specific camera equipment. You can expect to receive an estimate for repair within 24-48 hours unless there is a delay due to a part inquiry with the manufacturer. In that case, it can take some additional days to get back to you with an estimate.

The majority of our repairs are turned around within 5-7 business days as long as parts are not needed or parts are in stock at our facility. If parts are required, then repairs can take anywhere from 2-3 weeks or longer depending of part availability with the manufacturer. In the instance that parts are no longer available, we will return the non-working item back to you and you would only be held responsible for the cost of return shipping. If you would prefer the non-working item to be disposed of, we can provide that service at no cost.

Payment is due at the time of approval. We accept all major credit cards including Discover and American Express.

Every repair is subject to a revised estimate. If we find that there is more damage than found in the initial estimate or that more parts are needed, we will provide you with a re-estimate and give you the option to proceed or return the camera to the original condition we received it in. If a re-estimate is approved and the camera still requires more repairs, we will not continue to provide you with additional estimates but return the item and label it as “beyond economical repair”.
